SPRINGFIELD – The Illinois Elementary School Association has announced that winter sports activities will remain paused. IN a letter sent to districts statewide, they say that due to Illinois remaining in Tier 3 mitigations, no practices or games can be held. Practices for some sports were set to begin January 4th. The IESA said they will not be announcing a date where they foresee athletics being allowed to start due to the unpredictable nature of the pandemic.
