DeKalb County Sheriff announces retirement

SYCAMORE – The Sheriff of DeKalb County has announced he will be retiring in June. Sheriff Roger A. Scott has held the top spot since 1985, appointed to the position in the footsteps of his brother, former Sheriff Wilbur Scott. He began serving the citizens of DeKalb County as a deputy in 1969. Chief Deputy Andrew Sullivan will assume the duties of Sheriff starting June 23rd until the DeKalb County Board can meet to choose a successor.
