Couple Identified After DeKalb County Fire

DEKALB – A couple in their seventies was identified as those found deceased after a fire early Sunday morning in DeKalb County. The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office says firefighters found 75-year-old William M. Kreda and 76-year-old Marjory R. Kreda in the home that the couple had lived in for several years.  A motorist on I-88 saw flames coming from the home near Malta area.  When deputies arrived shortly before 2 am, they found a barn was fully engulfed and the house on the property was on fire as well.   An investigation into both the cause of the fire and the deaths of the two people is ongoing.
