OTTAWA – The city of Ottawa will be upgrading its lift station, moving it out of a flood plain. In a city council meeting earlier this week a motion was passed, authorizing Basalay Cary & Alstadt Architects to design a new station north of the existing facility that could be incorporated into a residential area. Commissioner Aussem says the former station is run down and equipment is not in working order. The new station will include new technology and is estimated to cost up to $2 million. There is no specific time frame on when the project will be completed.
