City of LaSalle to Purchase Property Across From Casey’s General Store

LASALLE – The city of LaSalle approved the purchase of a building that will serve as a meeting room for the city. The city council met Monday, and approved the purchase of a building owned by Casey’s General Store, located across from the new Casey’s on 5th street. The building will be used to hold various meetings for the city, and a training classroom for the Fire Department. Fire Chief Andy Bacidore believes the building could be a positive asset for the city, creating opportunities for indoor training for firefighters. Chief Bacidore says not much maintenance will be done to the low cost facility, and fund-raising could be an option to help with financing.
