OGLESBY – At Thursdays board meeting of Illinois Valley Community College, it was announced that they would be continuing discussions with Foreign Service Group of China on education matters. Foreign Service Group is setting up an English-language school for Chinese nationals at the old Sherman School in Streator. IVCC President Jerry Corcoran said the partnership could potentially “impact enrollments and be a great experience for our visiting students and scholars, as well as faculty and staff.” Last November the City Council approved plans to use the former school as an education facility.
