Cats rescued after rural Ottawa fire

OTTAWA – A mobile home was damaged and a number of cats were rescued after a fire in rural Ottawa. The Wallace Fire Protection District were called to a fire near 1570 North 30th Road around 1:30 PM Friday and found light smoke coming from the rear of the unoccupied residence. During the blaze, firefighters rescued 6 cats. No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
