LASALLE – LaSalle-Peru High School students will have some normalcy in the upcoming school year. The high school board voted unanimously in favor of students returning to their regular schedules but with preventative measures in place. Students will no longer be allowed to carry backpacks from the classroom. For lunchtime, plexiglass dividers will be placed on each lunchroom table in the Student Commons, and 6ft social distancing for eating in bleachers in Sellett Gym. Remote learning will only be available for students who are not eligible for a COVID-19 vaccine and are under a quarantine order. Optional SHEILD Illinois saliva-based testing will be administered weekly.
