STREATOR – A woman was shot and killed in Streator and three suspects are in custody after a high speed chase across two counties. According to Streator Police Chief Kurt Pastirik, before 9 PM Tuesday they were called to the 200 block of West 9th Street for shots fired. The 33-year-old woman, whose identity has yet to be released, was taken to a hospital where she was pronounced dead. A Livingston County Sheriff’s Deputy spotted a vehicle that matched the description of one suspected to be involved in the shooting and began a pursuit on Route 17. The vehicle crashed in Dwight, with one being taken into custody and two others after a search of the area. The investigation continues by the Streator Police Department, LaSalle County State’s Attorneys Office, Dwight Police Department, and the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office. More details are expected to be released later.
