163 new COVID-19 cases in Illinois, Governor issues stay-at-home order


SPRINGFIELD– Governor J.B. Pritzker is mandating a stay-at-home order starting Saturday through April 7th. On Friday, the Illinois Department of Public Health announced 163 new cases of COVID-19 in Illinois, including the death of a Cook County woman in her 70s.  Three additional counties reporting cases are Adams, Christian, and McLean counties.
Currently, IDPH is reporting a total of 585 cases in 25 counties in Illinois.  Cases have occurred in ages 3 to 99.  Residents will still be allowed to go to the grocery store, pharmacy, and medical facility and gas stations. Walking and running outside is still permissible.
