14,000 new COVID-19 cases reported in Illinois Thursday

SPRINGFIELD – 14,612 new confirmed and probable cases of COVID-19 were confirmed by the Illinois Department of Public Health. The IDPH also reported 168 additional coronavirus related deaths, which included 4 individuals from LaSalle County and 2 from Bureau County. Since the start of the pandemic, 621,383 confirmed and probable cases have been confirmed by the IDPH along with 11,178 deaths. As of Wednesday evening, just over 6,000 individuals were in the hospital reported with COVID-19.
